Jeff Dunham

I was recently introduced to a stand-up comedian cum ventriloquist (you know those people who is able throw out voices on their puppet without moving their lips), Jeff Dunham. The first video i watched was called, "Ahmed the Dead Terrorist". And boy, I was laughing so hard that I almost fell down on the floor. I must have watched it like 10 over times and yet still having tears in my eyes! You guys gotta really click on this and watch it.Bet it will make your day!!. After my bf's cousin and family's member watched this video, they now started greeting each other with "I'll kill you" phrase instead of the normal "hello".

The following video is also my favorite character, called, "Sweet Daddy Dee". He is suppose to be Jeff Dunham's manager. Look at his expression. Bet you be laughing very hard...

The next character is also my favorite. His name is "Peanut". I really like him a lot....Very cool guy. Must watched.

So, guys let's vote on it and let me know which is your favorite joke/ character....

Have great fun watching it...:)) I know i did cos i laughed so much and forgotten all my stress.

Gearing Up to A Healthy New Year!!

Phew…how times passes by unknowingly. Christmas has come and gone which seems like yesterday. I remember waiting and planning for it to come so I could have a long holiday in Singapore! And now, New Year is just around the corner. Already there are people who zoned into early New Year mood. You can see from people taking holiday and not in the mood of working. And holiday mood is a holiday mood and thus people seems to let their guard down an binge into more guilty indulgence. So, I came up with a pl an and eating tips that will still make you look good and be healthy in January without having to deprive yourself of all the holiday treats.
  • Don't go to a party hungry: we often eat faster and more when we are hungry - therefore eat a wholesome breakfast and lunch on the day to avoid overeating at the party.
  • Watch your portion: treat yourself a nice drink, dessert, chocolate or sweets without guilt, but always watch your portion. Go for small portions. This way you can sample all the different foods. Moderation is always the key.
  • Make a conscious choice to limit high fat items: high fat food items can be found in fried food, cream-based soup, sweet stuff such as cakes, cookies, processed meats such as burgers and sausages, some pastries and baked goods.
  • Try other versions of alcohol: instead of beer, cider, Bailey's and Kahlua, try dry wine, Bloody Marys or spirits with diet mixer which have fewer calories. Remember: Calories from alcohol tend to be stored in the abdomen. People who are overweight actually gain weight more easily when they consume alcohol.
  • Drink plenty of water: alcohol and coffee can dehydrate your body.
  • Physical activity: take nice brisk walks with your loved ones and enjoy their company in the holiday season. Or do some roller-blading or go down to a skating rink…It is an absolute good workout for your thighs and bums!
  • Try substituting your snack to healthier version: I have to admit that I’m a person who loves food and desserts. But, I always will try to research on a healthier substitution to satisfy to cravings! I have extracted some snack swapper tips from this renown dietitian Lyn Grieger:

Cereal: There are three guidelines for choosing a healthy cereal. First, look for the word "Whole" in the first ingredient, meaning that the cereal is made primarily from unprocessed grain that contains more of its natural vitamins, minerals and fiber. If the whole grain is oats or wheat, that's even better. Second, be sure to choose a cereal with no more than 8 grams of sugar per serving. And finally, avoid any cereal that contains trans fatty acids, which increase risk of heart disease. Measure out one or two servings, pour on fat-free milk or yogurt and enjoy!

Chocolate: Chocolate -- especially dark chocolate with cocoa solids or chocolate liquor listed as the first ingredient -- may actually be good for your heart due to its antioxidant content. However, it still contains more calories than we'd like to admit. The secret is to enjoy dark chocolate in very small quantities, for example, two to three strawberries dipped in dark chocolate or one Hershey's Miniatures Special Dark chocolate treat (only 45 calories!).

Donuts: Be careful what you order. A glazed donut contains 180 calories, but a glazed cake donut packs almost twice as many calories (350). Don't be fooled by the phrase whole wheat in the whole-wheat glazed cake donut -- it's still over 300 calories. Better to enjoy just one glazed donut hole for only 40 calories. Sorry guys who enjoy donuts from J-Co Donuts or Big Apple.

Potato Chips: A single-serving bag of most plain potato chips contains approximately 150 calories. You'll save half those calories if you choose fat-free baked chips. But if what you're truly craving is something crunchy and salty, opt for popcorn instead of chips. One cup contains only 55 calories if you don't add extra butter.

Cookies: There are two problems with cookies: We can't eat just one, and if we can, the one we eat is usually HUGE. A typical chocolate chip cookie at a mall cookie store contains over 300 calories. One bite-size chocolate chip cookie has only 11 calories. Eat five of these mini-cookies slowly, enjoying every morsel, and you'll get the taste sensation you crave without adding to your waistline. Also instead of cookies, you might want to consider whole-wheat crackers from Jacob. It taste incredible good too. Or my recent craving is McVities, ginger nut cookies. It is yummy......

Fried Food:
Choose the unfried version whenever possible. Have a choice of crispy or grilled chicken on your salad? Go for the grilled. Broiled or fried fish? Broiled is better. Raw veggies with dip or tempura veggies? You know the raw version wins every time. Baked or regular potato chips? Baked is a no-brainer. Learn to oven-fry foods at home by baking at a high temperature until crispy. A spritz of cooking spray or drizzle of olive oil before baking adds flavor and contributes to crispness without hurting your heart -- or your waistline.

Ice-Cream: Fat-free ice cream or ice milk may contain fewer calories, but most people don't appreciate the gritty texture. Frozen yogurt sounds like a healthy alternative, but it's still packed with fat and sugar. Try a fruity sorbet instead of ice cream. You'll save 13 grams of fat and 100 calories, and the intense fruit flavors simply pop in your mouth. Just one scoop is plenty! You can try the New Zealand Ice Cream or Lecka-Lecka which is made out of gelato. Tasty and guilt free!

Nachos: They may look healthy because they contain foods from most of the food groups, but you know better. Just one loaded nacho chip will set you back 50 calories, with over half those calories from fat. But who eats just one nacho? One cup of nachos (about two handfuls) contains 560 calories and over half the amount of fat most active women need in one entire day. To prepare guilt-free nachos, cut soft flour tortillas into wedges and crisp in a 400 degrees F oven for four minutes. Then top with lots of veggies: tomatoes and onions, of course, but also add shredded carrots, lettuce and jicama and green and yellow pepper strips. Instead of hamburger, use fat-free refried beans and sprinkle with low-fat shredded cheddar cheese. You'll save more than half the calories without sacrificing taste.

Pastry: One cheese Danish will set you back 260 calories and 24 percent of your total fat and saturated fat needs for the entire day. If grabbing a midmorning pastry is your habit, it's time for a new snack! A piece of whole-grain toast bread with peanut butter contains fewer calories (170) and half the fat. Plus, it supplies whole grains and fiber, protein and heart-healthy monounsaturated fat. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top if you crave something sweet.

Cream Based Soup: It's simple to make your own healthy, low-fat, creamy soups at home. Instead of cream, trying using fat-free evaporated skim milk. You'll save 87 grams of fat and 620 calories per cup! To make an even healthier cream soup, use pureed white beans or pureed vegetables (try potatoes or cauliflower) instead of the cream. Thin it to the desired consistency with skim milk or broth. If you're using canned cream soup, reconstitute with skim milk to reduce the fat and calories and boost your calcium and vitamin D intake. Try using lower-fat canned cream soups when making casseroles; you'll never notice a taste difference.

Coffee: Long gone are the days when people routinely drank black coffee. It's astounding that many of us regularly guzzle 16- to 20-ounce coffee drinks every day -- sometimes two or more times per day! Down a 16-ounce caffe mocha and you just drank 300 calories -- 400 if you add whipped cream. Drink two of these each day, and you've spent one-third of your daily calorie budget! If plain black coffee isn't your cup of tea, try these ideas to downsize the calories, fat and sugar in your coffee drinks:

  • Ask for skim instead of whole milk and save 50 calories in most 16-ounce drinks. 1. Downsize to the smallest cup available. Cutting back from a 20-ounce to a 12-ounce cuts 100 calories. 2. Avoid whipped cream -- it tacks on 80 to 130 additional calories depending on the size and type of drink you order. The amount of added sugar in some coffee drinks is simply unbelievable. 33 grams (eight teaspoons of sugar) in a 16-ounce syrup-flavored latte, 50 grams (12 teaspoons of sugar) in a 16-ounce caramel mocha. It makes my teeth hurt just thinking about it. Your best choice? A 16-ounce caffe Americano -- only 15 calories and no sugar.

  • Soda
:Drink water instead. If it's bubbles you crave, try carbonated mineral water. If you simply have to drink something sweet, choose diet soda or calorie-free flavored water. And anyone concerned about building strong bones or losing weight should opt for fat-free milk instead of soda -- the calcium and vitamin D are essential to health.

Pasta: The real key to eating healthier when you eat pasta is to reduce the portion size. Rather than making a platter of pasta, have a small dish (about two cupped handfuls). Switch to whole-wheat pasta to bump up your intake of whole grains. You can get this from Tesco. And of course, choose a sauce that's low in fat and packed with veggies.

Anyway, my conclusion guys is "Moderation is the key!" .I hope you enjoy this article and wishes you a Happy Holiday & Happy New Year!!

    Cheers........

My New Hair Cut @ Qube, Plaza Damas

Phew...finally got my photos from my bf's place. Apparently his Nikon camera had some problem and had to send back to the shop. The pictures that he took with his Nikon camera was in his memory card as well...What a bummer. I've actually wanted my friends to see my new haircut that i did last 2 weeks! What made me decided to spend RM400 for a haircut? Well, for one Christmas is coming and am going to Singapore. Second, i totally hated my old hair cos it grew so long till it touches whatever food I'm eating. And finally i got so stressed up about work cos it's year end and tons of job need to rushed...clients chasing me up and down for quotation...Midnight oil burning to do proposal...But when my bf heard the amount of money spent on my hair, he went "bazooka" !! His first reaction was , "What?? My hair only cost me RM 10 or the most RM15!"

That's the difference between men and women. We would be willing to invest hundreds (some even thousands) on our hair, face and body to look good. Men just go for the cheapest and the most practical! We are willing to sit in the salon chair for hours (Mine was 6 hours!!) and yet pay so much for it....Oh well, guys will just never understand us. We need our own pampering at the end of the day...Hey we deserve it after hard day of work right? Some of us reward ourself by major shopping, and some just spent on good massage. Me i just like a new look!

    This is my old hair.....

This is actually a very lame shot...but just trying to mock those typical chinese girls who like to take sideway shots with a finger....Hahahaha...No offense...

Anyway, my final conclusion is I am happy with it though i had to sit through 6 solid hours (Coloring,Perming, Washing & cutting). I find the hairstylist very professional and she was not the typical one that keep asking you to buy products. She could just give you advise what you should and should not do with your hair and your face feature. I like her alot and highly recommend to people who would like to change their hairstylist. She was in fact recommended by high school friend who also had a good cut from her.

    Food Poisoning!!!

What a weekend! Can you believe that I spent my whole weekend at my bf’s place being sick? I lost count on the number of times that I had to run to the toilet and release whatever it was left in my intestine. My stomach was so bloated that I swear it looks like those “Blow fish”. And I had so much “wind” in my stomach that I couldn’t stop farting or burping. And even my burp smelled of some stinky spoiled food! Ooops I think I better stop being so graphical as some of you might be feeling sick imagining it. Anyway, it was the worse diarrhea/food poisoning I had ever experience….

It all started from the day after I had my Japanese food at Jagoya! I knew I wasn’t feeling up to myself when I had really bad stomach discomfort. My stomach kept growling and I kept letting go of air. Then when noon time comes, I had to rush to the nearest toilet and the rest is history! There goes my RM51 Japanese buffet!! I went to the first doctor and he gave me medicine like gastric, diarrhea and stomach pain. It did cure me for few hours, but the next day it came back again. Then I thought I should just try Chinese medicine cos the last time I had a bad fever, I was cured by it (And yes it is the normal traditional Chinese herbs in which you have to boil for hours!!). Guess what, this time it didn’t work for me, it was already Sunday and I was still running to the toilet like nobody business. I even had fever. Luckily my bf’s mom was there to take care of me, helping me to cool my body down. But my aching tummy was really giving me a hell of a time! And could you believe it, I was even praying to God that if I’m cured I promise to do more charity things. I was in such a pain that I just wanted it to go away no matter how much I need to spend on it. I didn't even mind giving up all my savings (In that moment of pain of course...)Now, I understand why people turn to certain religion when they are in the midst of pain. Mine is nothing compare to those who suffer greater illness like cancer or Aids...

    Pig out @ Jagoya

Jagoya oh Jagoya...familiar? I'm sure all of you have heard that it is one of the most expensive Japanese Buffet in town which charges you up to RM 90-RM100/person. I have heard and read on other bloggers' review on it. Mostly giving this restaurant a thumbs up. I always wanted to try it out and even bugged my bf to take me there...He just say, "Honey, it's too expensive and i rather take you to some local hideaway or rent a good hotel and enjoy room service!". Anyway, he is not much of a sushi or sashimi person, so i could understand why Japanese buffet doesn't appeal to him.

However, my lady luck shine on me when my good friend, Chai sms me about the their 50% percent promotion for LADIES only. Sorry, guys have to pay full price!! I know it's unfair but if they let the guys have the 50%, they know they will lose money. Cos seriously, how much can a women eat?? So at the end of the day, we women will HARDLY recover our money...

Just yesterday (Wednesday), we manage to get our booking for 4 person at 9.30pm -1am. The dinner time was all fully booked. The promotion was for a week and surprisingly it's all been taken up....As my friend made a sexist joke saying that the women in Malaysia is getting fat this December cos of Jagoya buffet, Christmas eating parties and the 31 % off for Baskin Robbin on New Year!

It was definitely an exciting moment for me when I arrived at the restaurant as my stomach was growling for food! It was already 9.30pm and we still had to wait in lines to get a table despite booking earlier. There were tons of "walk-in" trying their luck. Just look at the lines!

    Jagoya Experience009

I was actually getting kinda annoyed cos we actually had to wait in line for 20 minutes before allowing us to enter. There were even a signage that they put there, saying " Proper Manner To Follow while Dining @ Jagoya":

1.) Please "q" even for those that made the reservation
2.) Please pay cash before dining
3.) Please allow our waiter to sit you at your place.

Finally, after getting in...i have to admit that the decor was impressive and very cozy indeed. Then we were given this metal clips in which according to my friend is suppose to be thrown over to food counter you wanted. And the chef will cook it and serve it to you. What a brilliant idea...I guess that's what made it different from other's Japanese buffet restaurant.

    Jagoya Experience023
Look at their decor...must say it was systematic

    Jagoya Experience028
Mountains of food...This was the Western section. Wonder why they use red light. It was kinda difficult to see what food it was and to know whether it is delicious or not....Bad concept....

    Jagoya Experience024
You see those small white bowls? That's where you suppose to throw your numbered clips into it. The chef will cook on whatever you order and serve it at your table! Cool huh...

    Jagoya Experience027
This is the "Dim Sum" section....

    Jagoya Experience031
Look how delicious the sushi is...Ahem by look ah...But actually it was better than normal Sushi place but nothing to shout about that is a"WOW" factor.

    Jagoya Experience029
Eddie loves eating the crab....He couldnt get enough of it..

    Jagoya Experience021
Us pigging in!!! Look at how greedy we were...there were so many food left and yet we still continue to dive in to take more food! People..think of Africa...(Ahemm....)

    Jagoya Experience037
Chai, my friend feeling really unhappy cos the "vegetable" that she ordered and waited for nearly half an hour turned out to be an "Extremely" small portion. Poor thing...

Though, we enjoyed pigging out and indulging in their "Unlimited" Haagen Daz and Baskin Robbins ice-cream(Me of course i only digged into Haagen Daz cos you can always get those 31% discount for Baskin Robbins right?), the food to me is nothing to shout about. Sure they have the normal Japanese food like Sashimi, Sushi, Tempura and etc...and they even have mix of Western& Chinese cuisine like Pasta, Steak and Dim Sum but nothing that i can say, "I'll definitely come back for this again" dish! I guess why people go there is actually attracted to their layout of the place, the concept (E.g. the metal clip of ordering food) and a wide variety of food. So, we are basically sucker of this concept. But to normal Japanese food, they would never step into it. Their Sashimi was not fresh nor was the oyster. To me, it;s just plain "OVERRATED"

After having such a big meal in which the clock ticked at 12.30AM, we had be chased out cos it was closing time. And on the way to our car park, I couldn't help but took the picture of the STUPID concept of signage marking on each floors in Starhill. I think this people behind this wanted their shopping mall to be "different" or high class cos their signage it's hard to understand. Who in the right mind would label each floor like, " Relish, Indulge, Adorn, Muse, Pamper, Feast and Explore"?? It doesn't even relate to the floor we are going to. For example, if you want to go to our "normal" terms of Ground floor...well in Starhill there are known as Indulge!! Anybody have a clue how to link that?? All of us took minutes to figure out which button to press and true enough we found another old couple looking puzzle at the buttons before pressing it. If i were to give an award to "THE MOST SILLY SHOPPING MALL"....Tadaaa.... "Starhill" would have win hands down!
    Jagoya Experience003
    The Confusing button....

    Jagoya Experience002
The Relish Sign where the Jagoya Restaurant is located!! Any connection anyone???

    Jagoya Experience008
Indulge sign where the "ground" floor is suppose to be....

    My Verdict:
Ambience: 3.5 out of 5 sushi

Food: 3 out of 5 sushi

Staff Efficiency: 4 out 5 sushi. They are quick to clean up your plates.

Possibility of return: 0 unless they have another 50% discount promotion.

    Ratings: Over-rated

Finally a Puzzle for all my fellow readers....please guess below...

    Jagoya Experience038
    Guess....number 1

    Jagoya Experience043
    Another clue for you guys....

I shall review the picture next week.....Let's just see how many intelligence earthlings out there yeah....

    My Calorie Cutting Tactics!!

Recently while having dinner with one of my good friend @ the Manhattan Fish Market. Believe it or not it was the first time since it opened 5 years ago that i actually stepped in and order something to eat. I always thought it was just another lame Fish & Chips restaurant filled with unhealthy fried stuff. Surprisingly, there was some healthy stuff found in the menu like baked and grill fish and even salad. My friend decided to order her seafood grill platter( and me just the baked dory fish with "vege" of the day. Yummy...Anyway, as we finished our meal, my friend suddenly complaint saying that she shouldn't have eaten the food cos the platter that she ordered comes with rice, fries, prawns and fish. She kept saying she put on weight already cos she has been eating dinner for the past week. Then i look at her up and down and told her, "Are you crazy, you are still as slim as ever!!". She pointed at her stomach and said, "Look at me, my tummy is all bloated out". I should just stop having dinner now. I tried convincing her for half and hour and even given her some facts about not skipping meal. And she insist that skipping her dinner is what kept the fat away! So, now i decided to educate my pals and some of people who is reading this to wake up and read the facts that I've been gathering over the years. For me, i have been a gym goer for about 3 and half years now and been reading alot on food. Believe it or not i used to be chubby but i managed to get my weight under control thanks to the right exercise and food intake.

First fact is that exercising alone doesn't get you to your goal without proper "food management". I used to do like 5 cardios workout a week but my weight still stay the same. Sure enough i did see my thighs and arms were getting a bit wee smaller but overall it was still chubby! Until, i met a "guru" who told me that food contribute 60% and exercise ONLY 40% of losing that few extra pounds! Oh and Starvation and deprivation diets simply don’t work. Instead, the little things are what matter.

    BEFORE. Look at those arms!!

AFTER. I started with workout + "Food Management".

Here are my eight guideline to get you started:

    1. Eat breakfast.
A study published in the February 2002 journal Obesity Research found that eating breakfast was a key behavior among people who averaged a 60-pound weight loss and kept it off an average of six years. Participants told researchers that skipping breakfast made them so hungry that they overate during other meals and snacked on unhealthy, high-calorie foods. Plus breakfast is essential for you to start the day right. When you go to work hungry your performance tend to slacks as well! Have you ever feel had that all you could think "Lunch, Lunch, and Lunch!" . And when the clock strikes 1pm, you would rushed out and order the big meal cos you were so hungry that you could eat one whole cow! That BIG meal, my friend may just cost you to put on more pounds that you ever imagine.

    2. Eat Frequently
Whenever I tell my friends that i actually eat 5-6 meals a day, there were shock written all over their face! Then the next spontaneous thing that they do, is looking at me up and down with disbelief. Last but not least, the same question thrown at me like, "Are you sure you eat that much in a day, but you are not fat all??". And i always comes down to explaining to them that it is actually better to eat more frequently (2-3 hours after each meal) with smaller serving size then eating 2/ 3 BIG meals. I break down to 3 main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and 2 snacks( fruits/smoothies/nuts/yoghurt) and a glass of milk before sleep. Research proved that people who eat frequently, tend to increase their metabolic rate (which you need it to burn fat) than people who don't. When you deprive your body by skipping meals, your body will automatically goes into "slow mode" by reserving the energy thus slowing down your metabolism. And when you have low metabolic rate, your body are not efficient in burning those fat. Ever wonder why people who only eat 1 or 2 meals a day is still finding it hard to lose that extra pounds?

    3. Don't Eat Like Your Man

If you're a woman trying to lose weight, one of your biggest roadblocks may be your husband. Studies find that women often put on weight soon after they get married. The reasons are varied. He eats bigger portions and you try to keep up (you only need about two-thirds of what he eats). You're cooking a full dinner every night, whereas in your single days a salad may have sufficed (a large salad with a bit of tuna for protein and an olive oil-based dressing can work well for both of you). Or you eat out more (it's far easier to eat healthfully at home).

    4. Fruits & Vegetables
How do you grade your plate? Is your plates fills with mostly meat, rice and fried food?
About 35 percent of cancers can be prevented by getting at least five servings of fruits and veggies a day. What's more is that healthy eating can help prevent heart disease, High blood pressure,Obesity and Diabetes. Children between the ages of 2 and 6 should get five. Older kids, teen girls and women need 7. Teen boys and men need at least 9. For me, i tried to have fiber in each meal of the day and having fruits as my snacks. That way, i know i have enough fiber for the day! So start munching that apple away....

    5.Buy the smaller size.
The larger the portion in front of you, the more you’ll eat. It’s a proven fact. When researchers sent 79 parents home with a video and either 1- or 2-pound bags of M&Ms along with either a medium or jumbo size tub of popcorn for each family member, they ate more M&M’s from the 2-pound bag than the 1-pound bag, and about half a tub of popcorn, regardless of the tub size.

    6. Make smart switches.
I found this article in which you can save by switching from high-fat, high-calorie indulgences to lower-fat, lower-calorie options. Just by making the following substitutions, you could lose 25 pounds a year:

Instead of eating this once a week

    Try this once a week

    Calorie savings

    Large fries

    1-ounce snack-size bag
of Tortilla chips or pretzels (found in Tesco & Carrefour)

    383 calories a week,
    or 5.7 pounds a year

    Fried chicken breast

    Roasted chicken breast
and wing and thigh without skin

    243 calories a week,
    or 3.6 pounds a year

    Burger

    Veggie burger

    216 calories a week,
    or 3.2 pounds a year

    Three slices bacon

    Two slices deli-style ham
    and two egg whites

    199 calories a week,
    or 3 pounds a year

    Chocolate ice cream

    Gelato & Yoghurt Ice

    Cream

    240 calories a week,
    (1 cup) or 3.6 pounds a year

    Pasta carbonara

    Pasta with tomato sauce
    (1 cup)

    246 calories a week,
    or 3.7 pounds a year

    One slice cheesecake

One slice angel food cake with
    strawberry topping

    130 calories a week,
    or 1.9 pounds a year

    7. Skip the soda & Gulp in those water
If you drink non-diet soda, you can cut 160 calories (per 16 ounces) out of your day just by switching to diet soda. Better yet, drink up that 8 cups (1.5 litres or more) in a day and mix it with drink green tea (optional).

    8. Start with soup.
Studies show that people who start a meal with soup--especially broth-based soup--end up eating fewer calories by the end of the day without feeling hungrier. Please be aware of those creamy soup(main ingredients is butter) cos that will really fill up those unwanted calories!

So, now other than writing about my daily events, I will also try to have a weekly updates of articles about health and fitness now. Do give me some feedback whether you would like me to post more on it or if you are sick and tired, let me know and will stop it! Hahahaha....

Feng Shui @ Tip of your Fingers

I recently got a forward email from friends and was about to delete it as usual cos i HATE opening forward emails! But wait a minute, the title that caught my eyes was "Feng Shui". Being the typical believer in Feng Shui and Chi, i opened it and found it amusing. Thought of sharing it with you guys. Tell me whether it describe you...Well, mine is WWWOW and now i feel so much more intelligent...Hahahahaha...Anyway according to the article, every single person in the world has a different set of fingerprints and the Chinese have devised a way to read personality & destiny traits by studying the waves and the circles that appear at the tips of everyone's fingers. The article also stated that the old days, fingers of prospective daughter-in-law who showed alternate circles and waves were "unwelcomed" by the family. It was believed that such women would bring trouble into the family, being particularly difficult to control and usually very aggressive. How "MCP" is that??

Please read on below. Guys should examine their left hands while women should look at their right hands.

Here are the two different patterns of circles and waves seen on every finger. To make a reading, look at your thumb print first, then your index finger, your middle finger, your ring finger and then your little finger in that order. This is the sequence that offers clues to your destiny & fortunes of your life.

For ease of reference we shall refer to circles as Os and to waves as Ws.

    Fingers: OOOOO (all whorls)

    Kumomo What?

I was recently approached by this person who was in charge of organizing of the Terry Fox run 2007 to donate free space for advertisers. It's sort of like ADS Google...the only difference is that it will take 1% of what the advertiser is paying to you and channel it to this "Kumomo Tree Charity Project". Well, let's just hope i will be able to contribute a little back to society since I haven't been doing enough of charity work! So like what Earl (from TV show, "My Name is Earl") would say, "You do good, and good things will come to you, You do bad and bad things will come to you". So i rather have good things come to me...The last charity i did was the Terry Fox Run. Hey, is not i didn't try to do more charitable stuff...Infact I am dog lover and signed up for the SPCA but they decided that i was way to busy to become their volunteer. So got rejected....Sad sad....Anyhow, they still send me weekly newsletter to keep me up-to date on their events and activities. I did try to convince my bf to adopt dogs from SPCA but he refused to do it cos he so scare they will be like to mad dogs that bite! So he rather buy the "over-expensive" puppy from places like Midvalley or One-Utama.

The Eye & Dennis Birthday Bash 07

Sorry guys, am back blogging again. It has been a week since I uploaded any photos or updating you guys on what I'm up to. Well, last weekend I had major fun celebrating a surprise party for my friend's bf (Dennis...by now if you guys been reading my blog, you know who he is. Well, if he put on a little more weight, he could pass for "Wang Lee Hom").

My friend, Laura decided to surprised her bf by bringing him to the "Eye" (no, not the Chinese scary movie!!) It's actually our Malaysian version of ferris wheel or better called it as "Eye on Malaysia" which is located at Lake Titiwangsa. It is quite breathe-taking i must say when i first look at it, especially when the night darkens and the eye was lit up. What a cool idea to build this so called the largest portable wheel in the world over the lake (that's what the Malaysian like to emphasized anyway....the tallest, the biggest, the longest...and the list goes on ). Sometimes, it makes you wonder who are the "kiasu" one, us or the Singaporean? Or are we equally the same as them?Hmmmm....

This was the night market along the street before reaching the "Eye". There were stalls selling tidbits, cheap t-shirt, and caps and some craft and caricature...I'm not really a big fan of this except reaching my destination and riding on the ferris wheel. Oops...I think they refer them as "Gondola" (high class name!)

Had to do a quick pit stop before reaching the "Eye". Hey i got small bladder, can't help it! Anyway, something caught my interest while i was lining up....It says here " Spoilt...For Urine only". Hmmmm...So are they scare that we will "shit" there? Who in the right mind will actually shit here? It was so dirty! I had to fold my pants up before entering...the floor was covered with mixture of water + urine (shame on those people who don't aim properly!). I don't even dare to look at what is in the toilet bowl! The sink was full of some black dirty stain. And i swear that something tiny was crawling on the floor tiles....No wonder, the foreigners are always complaining about our public toilet! Even me as a Malaysian can't stand it. And the best part is i was charge Rm0.20 and it was still dirty!

Saw a clown entertaining a bunch of eager children....I must say I am usually very scare of clowns (maybe is their heavy makeup that i always think they are some kind of serial killer!), but this clown is "soothing" to look at.

I think he knew i was taking his photos and he stop to give me his pose. Isn't it cool??

Lining up to go up to the eye. Dennis the one wearing the green shirt, Shuen the "greener" shirt and that is Laura who is an 30 year women stuck in a 18 year old body! Look at the Teddy Bear shirt she is wearing. Ain't it cute?

Got our VIP "Gondola" pass which cost around RM100 in total for 6 of us.

After getting our VIP pass, and waiting to get inside the "gondola"...trying to kill time and did some stupid pose. Dennis at the back trying to be "drag queen" and Kiran trying to look possesed like the one in "Emily Rose" movie!

Hey girls...no breast touching in a public place!!

We were finally inside our VIP gondola...and according if i'm not mistaken(according to the brochure), the ride should be around 30 minutes=4 big round! We didnt actually keep track whether it was 30 minutes but whatever they were promoting about the fantastic view was all crap. All we saw was KLCC for 4 times! Imagine we were so bored inside the wheel, we actually have to self-entertained by making stupid faces and taking photos!

This photos was taken when we only riding for the 1st round...see the difference between the top picture and this? After the 3rd round, we became the "insane" bunch of humans! HAhaha...

Using the camera to create the illusion of him grabbing the core of the "Eye" Cool huh? This shot was obviously not taken by me, it was from Kiran....

Overall Verdict of the "Eye" (Out of 5 Eyes):-
View: 2.5 out of 5 Eyes (the only view you get is KLCC!!)

Fun: 2.0 out of 5 Eyes (If you come with your friends, it will be fun, but as couple, bored to
death) . NOt much things going on around there apart from those hawaker stalls and 1 clown.

Food: 2.0 out of 5 Eyes (Overpriced! )

    Probability of 2nd visit: 0%

Recommendation: 1 out of 5 Eyes (Unless you ran out of places to hang out in KL, then go visit the Eye)

    Party @ Naili's Restaurant & Shangrila Hotel

After our experience at the "Eye", we were hungry and headed to Naili's Restaurant located @ Sentul. Some smart friend of ours suggested to go there forgetting why she never did return to the restaurant since 2 years ago! Well, that time it does seems like the best choice cos we were hungry and that was the nearest in town. Let me tell you that i would give 8 thumbs up for the ambience and environment. Once enter, it transport you to place where you are dining in a forest area. The decor was very "Natural" and dimly lit creating the romantic environment. However, all this was spoilt by their terrible service by their waiters there! First, when we ask for better table, not only they turned us down rudely, they were not even bother to get us a better sitting place. They left us there ....wondering what to do like a bunch of stray dogs!

Second, they mixed up our orders and had to ask us several times! Especially when we ordered the fried vegetable and it came out as soup vegetable! It was the last straw when we asked the waiter why it was soup when we clearly ordered the fried one. Guess what he replied to us? In a lazy voice, he just said, "Ala sama aja" (In English it means, "Ah, it's the same") and walked off! What kind of answer is that and the walking off part was really rude!

Third, food sucks! I would not recommend anyone to order any food other than drinks!

This was their tasteless Nasi Lemak!!

This was the "burnt" Ikan bakar served to us. The stingray was even sticking on the "pandan" leaves.

Close-up shot of the fish sticking on the "pandan" leaves....would you dare eat it??

After the horrible food experience in which i would not recommend anyone to go, we headed towards Shangrila. Apparently, Laura booke a room with Dennis to celebrate his birthday. According to her, she got it @ RM350 for 2 nights (excluding breakfast) which is really a good deal. YOu have to be a shangrila member or something to get this deal.

    Dennis showing his keycard

This was the suite that Laura booked. It was kinda small. Overall decor was very authentic Chinese. They gave complimentary chocolates (in which we "sapu" everything!), and fruits. T.V was too near to the bed and too "square". As compare to other hotels in which the T.V is movable side to side, this one stay put! Bathroom was huge and nicely decorated. I think i prefer to sleep in the toilet than in their actual room. Ahahahah....

We ordered room service of some dessert called "chocolate pizza" but taste like pancake anyway. The girls having the midnight snack.....

This was our guilty indulgence,"Chocolate Pizza" we ordered. It was actually quite nice....But cost RM 30 for this. I think if i made my own pancake, the cost is less than RM5.00!

It makes you wonder, why we pay for such expensive food when clearly you can do it yourself or get it at some cheap local restaurant....Is it the ambience, service or the quality of flour, sugar/chocolate used that made us pay more? Is coffee in Coffee Bean taste better than coffee in our local Kopitiam? Why the difference of RM 10.00 verses RM 2.00?? Isn't coffee just coffee? Hmmmmm.....Let's make a vote yeah...
