Me@ Mercedez "C" Class Launch Event 2007

DSCN0944Wow, can you believe it that after my shopping spree, I had to rushed to another event. It was my bf's invitation to go for this new Mercedez "C" class launch event @ APAC, old Subang airport! So, it does justify the evening wear dress that i bought during my "spree" right? I was rushing like mad cos the event was suppose to start at 8pm in which, we should be leaving around 7PM. I got back around 6pm. Had to do a quick shower, hair-do and make-up in less than an hour!! Where's the justice?? On top of that, i was cheated by "him" that there will be a sit down dinner. So, at the back of my mine, it should be those 8 course dinner, with some shows going on while they do a launch of the car. Alas, it turns out to be a cocktail dinner in which they serve finger food like, satay (have to admit it's kinda tasty but lotsa MSG), fried onion rings, dim sum ("siu mai"), fried wanton, fried shrimp and etc. The only part that i enjoyed was the dessert and fruits. They were clever enough to have the "C" wording printed on the chocolates. They also served my favorite dessert "cheesecake" in a spoon! YUmmy.....

nov event 060
This was how they transform the old cargo area into a nice and cozy event place....The lighting and decor was great. There were a 4 pc band playing at the background(b4 the DJ end the night of course). There were free flow of beers and wine...People are basically chilling and socializing over there...

nov event 061
The rich and famous (i think.....) mingling around as the waiter was going around serving those finger food(AKA the food that still leaves you hungry no matter how many serving you have!!)

nov event 067
This was my new evening dress that i bought from Tulipe that cost me RM150. Isn't it nice. So, it does justify my spending right? HAhahaha...I love it alot cos the dress flows down all the way to the floor and looks like the dress from Lord of the RIng, the one wore by Liv Tyler....

nov event 059
This is the new C-Class model....it looks very chick and modern...not like the E-class (which i classify as "uncle"s car...No offense to Mercedez lover)

nov event 088
Kiran doing a test drive/rather a "test seat" on the inside...I would say that overall it's really slick and comfy. Everything is a push button. Even the seat is a just a push of a button. And when you close off the door, you can't hear the noisiness of the outside. The seat was all leather...Really comfortable i would say. Hey for those guys who wants to go after a girl...use this car, I'm sure they'll be having very good 1st impression. Then the next stage no guarantee!

nov event 099
Me with Serina posing at the very first model of Mercedez C & E class.

nov event 098
Me & Serina at their posing @ the entrance.....

nov event 070
Smile...you are on candid camera....hahaha...

nov event 077
Me & Serina enjoying our fruits....finally something not so oily!!

nov event 097
Serina posing @ Lamer's booth. Yes there were other big shots company there like Hilton hotel (i suspect the food is from there), Lamer & Citigold.

nov event 094
The guys having drink at the Lamer's booth....nice setting huh?

nov event 066
The models posing the watches...Poor things, they had to stand there like this for the whole night! Can you believe it? I wouldn't want to be in their place...unless they pay me like RM800-Rm1000 a day. The male model in actual fact was more good looking than in the photo...believe me!! Don't understand why he didnt turn out good in photos. That's the reason, me and Serina went over to take photos with them!

nov event 086
The DJ of the night playing some funky tunes. Isn't he cute...I was told he is some famous *tv presenter and used to be a DJ in zouk....Anyone finds him familiar please let me know....

The Overall Verdict of the Event (Out of 5 thumbs up!!):
Environment: 4 thumbs (very cozy and nice environment)
Food: 3 thumbs (minus of the points cos i still went back hungry!!)
Drinks: 4 thumb (Keep the liquor pouring....)
Staff:4 thumbs
Music: 4 thumbs (very nicely organize with the bands and DJ...Not a boring moment!)

Me@ Shopping Spree.....Hartamas

After the Big Big Bowl experience, me and sam went on shopping spree @ Sri Hartamas. Let me tell you that this women can really shop. She knows all the corner high and low on where to get cheap and nice clothing. First stop was "Tanzz". Bought 2 pants for Rm80.00. One for work and one for play! It was on sale 70%!! So basically the same kind of longs pants in which if i get from G2000 will cost me around RM100 ++. Then, the next stop was "F-Block".Got myself a very nice working blouse and skirt. In fact got a compliment today when i went to my customer's place. Hahaha...Last stop was Tulipe Collection (Tel:2300 0835). This i have to recommend to those girls who wants to get quality and affordable dinner gown! The lady boss is "hot" and have good sense in clothing.

DSCN0933
This was the 2 pants, from "Tanzz" that i bought for the total of Rm80.00

DSCN0928
This knee length skirt from "F-Block" cost me another RM 60.00.

DSCN0927
This blouse from "F-Block" that cost me around RM 35.00

DSCN0948
This was my end results.....Oh isn't shopping therapeutic?

So conclusion of total money spent of the day:
Tanzz: RM 80.00-2 pants
F-Block: RM 95.00 (Rm60+RM35.00)-blouse & skirt
Tulipe: RM 300 (RM 150 x 2 pcs)-2 evening wear in which i wore it to Mercedez launch & 1 more will be collected end of the month.

So total $ spent for the month of November: RM 475.00 for 6 pcs of clothing....not bad huh?

Me@ Big Big Bowl

After the "Night out" , i was extremely exhausted the next day. Slept till 10AM...I wanted to continue my beauty sleep but my stomach was growling with hunger! I was struggling between my tasty breakfast or the prince charming in my dreams....Alas, my hunger "overpowered" my prince charming! Upon opening my eyes, my phone rang with Sam on the other line asking me to go for breakfast....Definitely was my answer! This time, we went to try out this new noodle place in Kepong (yep i stay in Kepong....no it's not a gangster place). It's called "BIG BIG Bowl. Apparently, it is opened by my high school friend, Angie in which i have not seen in years after SPM!

Chai & ME031
This is where we had our breakfast/lunch.....Green=healthy? Clever to associate this cos healthy people sure come to this place. HAhahaha...Luckily the green paint was not too "gordy"...

Chai & ME029
Very nice decor....uses alot of green and bamboo decor...Cosy and nice place to eat.

Chai & ME028
This was what i ordered. It was a mixed of veggie with "seven veggie noodle" and "Lui Cha" soup. Very healthy indeed....HAhahaha....And good for toilet!!Yummmy...Not recommended to thos veggie hater....or those who do not like "Hakka Lui Cha". It taste exactly the same except this one uses the noodle and the other one is with rice. The Lui Cha from "BIG BIG BOWL" is really thick and tasty. You could really taste the grinded vege.

Chai & ME030
Sam ordered just the Ice kacang drink...It was on promotion that day, RM 3.00. Apparently, if it' not promo, it would cost you RM6.00

Overall, verdict on this restaurant:
Environment: 4 out of 5
Food: 3.5 out 5 (alot of varities in their noodle and soup)
Drink: 2 out 5 (wasn't that good. And we wanted to order their "Leung Cha" but was out of it)
Service: 4 out 5 (friendly staff)

Anyway, give it a try, it's located @ No 31, Jln MetroPerdana Barat 2, Tmn Usahawan Kepong. Tel:012-2115564 (Angie Lim)

Girls Night Out......

Chai & ME002Sorry guys for being lazy again....Well, haven't had much things going on last week so didn't thought of posting it here. Didn't want to bored you guys reading my same-o same o material right? Well, last Friday(3rd November) I was bored sitting at home and called up my good friend, Chai to hang out. I wanted to hang out @ the Curve cos it's the "in" place to be with right now. I don't fancy noisy clubs like Thai club/Beach Club....I prefer to just hang out and have a good cup of coffee/cocktails with good live band.

Chai, my good friend wanted to check out the new place at TTDI in which she read in some Chinese magazine that there is a lot of cool new pub. To me, anything new goes! Anyway, we had a good girls night out without the guys!! Wooo Hoo.....

Chai & ME032
This was the people gathering outside at some of the pubs in TTDI

nov event 010
Has a very cool decor.....

Chai & ME005
This was basically how it looks like...there is differenty type of pubs to choose from. So people who doesn't want to dance and get a headache inside can choose to chill outside too....

Chai & ME003
Cool chairs huh?? This was by another pub owner.

nov event 007
Manage to capture some of the sexy girls...without their knowledge....Hahaha...Was using Chai as my decoy!!

Overall, i would rate this place as 4 out 10 to hang out. There is still room for improvement. Decor was great...but they could also include live band outside (i.e Jazz) and better lighting outside. It felt abit empty outside. Haven't been inside any of the pub so got no comment. You guys can check it out and let me know. If you ask me whether i would return...my answer is probably no!

And, so our next destination was Mont Kiara, "Starbucks". This is the only Starbucks that open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday.....So, me and my friends will choose to place to hang out if we just want to challenge each other who could stay up the latest! The last record was 5am! Wanted to stay until the next day market but we are just too old for this....HAhahaha...If you guys recall, few months ago they closed off this Starbucks for renovation. Surprisingly, as we were trying our luck, it was re-open! Yeah...So i asked them what changes they did and the verdict.....

Chai & ME011
Chai walking happily towards Starbucks....or was she avoiding me taking her photos?Hmmmm...

Chai & ME015
NEWLY IMPROVED TABLES.....spot any difference? Me i can't...i thought it was the same...

Chai & ME013
The friendly staff...If you look at the background tiles...It was added in as well! Before there were no tiles...Anyone recall on this? I totally have no idea ,....Proves my observation skill is really B-A-D!
Chai & ME017
NEW CHAIRS & Tables

Chai & ME024
Our drink....Chai took this photo! What's your verdict? Good photos? Hmmm...not bad and got potential....better than some of my photos....HAhaha...

Me@ Motorshow & Birthday Bash.....

I was finally over with my lazy bone! It was indeed good holiday and rest last week. The whole city was pretty quiet and I don’t get my usual non-stop ringing from my customers. Boy, time does pass very quickly. I still remember waiting anxiously for the “Raya” (not that I’m celebrating it but more of a good opportunity to take a break!) today it’s over…. It’s like the holiday has just comes and gone so quickly! When you are under work stress or unpleasant moment, the time feels like forever and torturing but when it’s good time…time fly like nobody business…hmmmm… I didn’t do much during the “Raya” though. I was just being a bum watching Chinese drama in which all my friends said I got conned for purchasing from a CD seller for RM40.00 for 40 episodes! Oh, well it was worth it cos I couldn’t get my lazy bum off the couch….I was practically glued to the TV, not brushing/washing my face in the morning till late afternoon…You guys must be wondering what Chinese drama is it right? Well, the title of the drama is called “Pau Yu” means Abalone. It’s a story of feud and battle of family’s wealth. It’s highly recommended and I’m not the sort of person that fancy watching Chinese drama.

Anyway, yesterday (22 October 2007), it was a very productive day. I went to this Motorshow with my bf at KLCC Convention Centre. To tell you the truth, I'm not motorbike person. I was actually dragged over to see the show. Overall, i would rate it 3 star! My bf was disappointed too cos it was not as BIG as he imagine. Let's just say you can finished seeing everything in 15 minutes! Except those crazy bikers in which i think they are willing to spent hours inside! Not many girls, mostly guys who went there (Duh, as usual!) Maybe i don't understand much about bike just like a guy that will NEVER get our girls obsession over shoes and clothing!
DSCN0555
This is the Motorshow 2007 . Luckily i was in time to watch the modeling show at the runway. Let me put this way. The quality of the model was very very bad! They either look too "Cina" / flatface or some really bad at catwalk and some trying to be cool but was NOT! There was one particular women who got the crowd cheering and she won the Ms. Motorshow over our Malaysians model! You guess it right...she was a "Mat salleh"...Scroll down and you know what i mean

DSCN0558

This was some of the showcase bike.....

DSCN0550

More bikes......Anyone can help me to tell the difference??

DSCN0562

And yet more bikes.....hmmmmm..The only thing i know off is the different color. Shucks...now i wish i could have watch more show on "American Chopper"...Maybe then i would understand about bikes!

DSCN0519

This is one of the model at the runway show..non-stop camera clicking when she was walking out and doing her turn...

DSCN0526

She has a petite figure but has very flat bum though....and flat face too...the typical "Chinese" look. You know what i mean?

DSCN0549

This is the model who won the Ms. Motorshow title..She got the most cheered and whistle and claps from the crowd..She has a very pretty face and nice figure..but according to my bf, she has "THUNDER THIGHS"....what do you guys think? Sorry guys...the picture quality is really bad (cos' am not very good at using my S200 Nikon camera....(Sad to say i got a good camera but suck at taking such photos....well think i need to take photography 101!!)

DSCN0540

Look at how the guys ogle at those models ....careful...your saliva is dripping and going to wet the floor!!

DSCN0517

Exploitation of women!! Using women dressed in skimpy clothing and posing at motorshow. I wonder why they never used a men? If they used men that has "6 packs", i'm sure they will also attract women crowd, don't you agree?

DSCN0581
My friends said the one on the left look like "Amber Chia" (Our Malaysian model)...what do you guys think? The way they posed could turn any guy one...Hahahaha...

DSCN0582
This was the close-up shot i took on how they were posing...don't you think it will drive any guys run wild with imagination....GIRLS....BIKE....and not any bike...SUPER BIKE!!!

DSCN0587

Another model trying to steal the lime light from the 2 girls!!

DSCN0588

She trying to be cute!!

DSCN0583
She trying to be sexy!!

DSCN0586
Of all the girls...i would say she is the best looking. She didn't try to hard to be sexy....

Phew....boy was it tiring looking at all the "same" bikes...And there goes my afternoon program which was an eye opening to me! Gone with that and comes the night program in which i had done a little belated birthday party for my friend/ex-colleague's (yup yet another birthday party….hahahaha) at this steamboat place, called “Mother” at Bandar Puteri Puchong (Behind Citibank). They serve 2 types of soup..one is the herbal soup and the other is the spicy one. I prefered the herbal soup though cos the spicy one was abit on the spicy side but not much taste. It is a buffet style in which it cost around RM21/per person. Price was reasonable for the amount of varieties found there. They have fresh fish, beef and chicken unlike some place in which they only serve fish ball, beef ball which are all made of flour! Oh yeah...i went back to the same cake shop, "MIKI OJISAN" to buy the cake....hehehe...but this round i went to the one in KLCC, Isetan. It's located at the top floor near the supermarket area, next to "Sun Moulin" bakery.

DSCN0592
This are the range of other dessert sold in this shop!! The one i recommended is the "Rolls" and also their Chocolate brownies (cost RM5.00/pc)

DSCN0591
This are the range of cakes they have....According to the staff, the best selling was the Chocolate Moist Cheesecake, Peanut Butter, Mango and follow by Rasberry.....Doesn't it look yummy...

DSCN0590
He/she is the friendly staff who did the packing for me....

RSCN0673
This was the packaging box....isn't nice?? And if you flip to the other side, it tells you the story of their cheesecake.....

RSCN0670
Tada .....this was the chocolate moist cake i bought for Jimmy's birthday. I thought it was the same chocolate cheesecake i got for Laura's birthday...but turned out Laura's was pure cheesecake with chocolate coating. And this one was sponge cake with chocolate coating with abit of cheese. Anyhow, for those who doesn't like cheesecake, this is a better option cos the chocolate still taste excellent! Jimmy couldn't stop eating it! I would highly recommend buying cakes from this cake shop cos so far they are selling really quality cake compare to a lot of places!

DSCN0593
This was the 2 types soup i was referring to earlier. The one on the left is herbal soup (thumbs up!!) but the one on the right was tasteless....All you can taste of is spicy (Thumbs down).

DSCN0611
This was the after picture....after the 2 guys had too many of the spicy soup!! See how red their face were...Looks like 2 lobster....

DSCN0597
My friend Chai, JImmy (birthday boy) and "T-bone" enjoying the steamboat.....

RSCN0676
Trying to eat the chicken sparepart (I think)....Eeewh...definitely not my favorite....

RSCN0667
This is the restaurant that I was referring to.....Try it out. I won't say it is the best but price was reasonable. The only thing i didn't like about it was the tables were too near to each other. Not much space to move.....I would give the atmosphere a 5 out of 10. When it gets crowded, it's stuffy and noisy....Decor was olden day chinese and will appeal to those who likes old chinese painting.

RSCN0668
Our next stop after the steamboat.....we wanted to sing the birthday song but the steamboat place was definitely not the "it" place.....So we decided to walk behind and found this little cafe....They serve mostly western food and different types of coffee.....

DSCN0657
This is the front entrance...It looks kinda cosy and nice from the outside....however, once enter it was shocking! The color wall that they used was yellow....Definitely not very cosy!! I didn't like it at all. I won't return if you ask me....

RSCN0672
The most shocking when we ordered the so-called "Brazil Coffee", they serve us the "TESCO" sugar.....The cup of coffee was charged to me at RM6.50!! And all i get is TESCO sugar?? The coffee was so bland like water. I think if we buy "Nescafe" and brew it ourself it's so much cheaper....So thumbs down to this place. Ambience: 3 star, Food & drink: 2 star!! NOt recommended...so please don't go unless you guys run out of place to hang out!

DSCN0634
Anyway, we manage to open ceremony at this restaurant....we asked for a lighter and guess what turns out? The waiter brought "humongous" fire lighter for the "Tiny" candle!!

DSCN0615
And finally our group photos.....the one who all celebrated JImmy's birthday...Overall, had a very nice time......
