Recent Birthday Bash 07'

Last Sunday(9th Sept) me and my friends went up to this restaurant up the hill. I can't really remember what is it call. Probably if my friend Chai (yep, she was the party planner on that day and intro us to this cool place) can jog my memory, i'll update you guys the name of the place. It has a great city view and furthermore it is as cold as Genting! So guys and girls, you dont have to drive up to Genting the next time you want to just get cold air. All i remember is that it was very near to Ampang. The restaurant serves Western food cooked by local chef. No offense but when you put a local chef (unless highly trained/ work in overseas restaurant) to do up Western food...well one would not go "Wow" or "Hmmmmm" about it. Get what i mean? It's cheap for Western food compare to if you were to dine in Chilli's or Outback Steakhouse. But then again, it's quality Vs price issue. Anyway, if you are willing to put away your tastebud, the whole dining experience up the hill is really romantic and breathe-taking. The next time you go, bring your best camera and a tripod to capture the city view. I missed out on that, thus i only capture photos of us having a good time....

It was so windy and had to cover the cake with "home-made" PVC cover. And the birthday girl had to blow the candle from on top. It was a weird scenario....Oh, and the restaurant put a "Happy birthday" cheap kind of song at the background while bringing the cake out. So could you imagine how embarrass we were? If they done something like T.G.I Fridays or Hard Rock, in which they sing it live...then it'll be more fun!

See the wooden clothes hanger clip that they use to clip the plastic cover together? Well, you do have to applaud them for creativity....

The birthday girl busy cutting and "sawing" over the overcooked spring chicken!

This was the food that i order...not so delicious...it was so suppose to be fillet combo (prawns, chicken and fillet)

Our girls group photo with 2 Maggi Chilli sauce and an empty carrot juice...Oh so healthy...hahahah...A girl gotta keep their figure & complexion, right?. Any single guys out there for my single gal friends? This is your opportunity to pick em'!

The guys turn now...well except my friend Chai..Hmmm...why are you there? Hmmm..makes you wonder whether Chinese guys when they turn 30, they will have that "uncle look" ...The one on center is married and is 30++ and the one on the left is very much eligible but is 30. Similarity anyone? So my conclusion is whether you are married/ single, once you turn the BIG 3, that is how you guys will look like!

Oopps...sorry guys...there were 2 more guys on that night..The guy on the far right came well prepared with the weather and the one on the left was wearing the Steven Gerard's jersey..Hope i'm correct cos i;m not much of a football fan although my bf insist me to support Liverpool!

And, all of you guys may have notice by now that my pattern of blog is to end with the last picture and comment. Yep, and this was the cake we bought for our dear birthday girl. Just to let you know that it was really delicious and you can get it from "Bread Story" (too bad i dont get paid advertising their brand name...). For those who are sick and tired of Secret Recipe and want to try an alternative...think Bread Story. So far, No complains, only "Ooooh La La"

Vampy's Great Discovery!!

Hi all...thought of sharing with you my favorite dessert other than my love for cheesecake. Alot of you Malaysian who love egg tarts will surely know of the the name " Tong Kee" tarts. Well, they have no doubt created a great name for themselves and position as the best of egg tarts. Me and my friends thought so too. We would drive all the way to Sri Petaling just to have that 2 bites of tarts. But recently, i discovered another place in which the egg tarts is way better than "Tong Kee". The shop name is called "H.K Miu Kai" It is a little bit more expensive. Tong Kee cost your RM 1.10/pc and H.K Miu Kai cost about RM 1.60/pc. But it is worth every penny of your money. It is richer and softer than "Tong Kee" . Once you bite into the tarts, the egg practically melt into your mouth! No exaggeration here ok. So far all my friends, clients and even supplier that i introduced to try this have given VERY good feedback about it! Where can you find this place? Well, my friend, unfortunately you can only get this savory tarts at Sri Petaling, behind "Tong Kee" and next to a Middle East restaurant called "Al-Diafah". And recently they opened one in Kepong, along the road of HSBC, opposite of Carrefour.

This is the pastry chef in charge of all the egg tarts, "po lo" pau and "Char siu so" and etc.....

This are the hot delicious egg tarts after being baked in the oven

Ta da.... This is the close up shots of how it looks like hot from the oven. Doesn't it look yummy...Highly recommended...MUST try!! Best to eat instantly when it is still hot....

The staff busy applying the sesame on the "Char Siew So"( Pork pastry...hope i translated correctly...) This is another one of their famous pastry. Also highly recommended. Once taste you will never forget!! HAhahaha....Cost around RM1.90/pc

Ta da....my close- up photo of how it looks like...Isn't it yummy.....This one can be kept over night. So it does make a great gift to your far far away friends/relatives who happen to come to K.L to visit you.

Just have a look out for this signage " Hong Kong Miu Kai" . Oh yeah the girl pastry chef on top told me her master was from Hong Kong who also own part of the restaurant. So the food and pastry is top notch recipe from Hong Kong itself. Feel free to drop in to have a try...Oh and another MUST try pastry is their "Ham Tan PO LO" pau (Salty egg). Unfortunately i was not able to capture the photo here cos' they haven't made it when i was there. They open only at 11am. But you got to buy it as early as possible cos the 3 items are the most hot selling. Usually by 6pm, most of their hot selling pastries are gone.

Vampy's Wedding Experience....

My dear readers... after weeks and weeks of not updating my blog and even got a complaint from my close friend for being lazy...I finally sat in front of my laptop and discipline myself to do some updates. Well, first of all i would like to share some of the model photos taken during our recent participation at a wedding fair held at Equotorial Hotel. Well, let me put it this way..... We had to sit through 1 hour x 2 session per day x 2 days event looking at the models doing their catwalk for their designer's wedding gown. And i can tell you, it was not a pleasant experience. There were moments i felt like strangling the models. There were even fat models! Surprisingly, next to our booth was a slimming centre booth!I wonder whether any of the sales girl approached the "fat" models to sign up for their slimming course. WEll have fun guys and drop me a vote or comment at my new "chat box" of what you think of em".........

This one looks like a man! Such angry face for a model..Guess she wants to act like the one in America Next Top model!

This is the fat one that needs to go for slimming course...Can you see her stomach bulging out??Not that i'm against big size model..and i'm neither keen on thin stick model either...but she errmmm...I think it must be the dress!!! HELP....

Here comes the stiff model. I could have swear that a turtle walks faster than her! She was so "robotic" when she walk, i could just sign her up for the robot dance competition. And she can easily walk away with 1st price....

And here comes another "oversize model that looks like the famous Japanese horror flick, "Ju-on". Remember the scene where the women came crawling out from the TV...

This is her back part of it....similarities??

This is the most presentable of them all...dont you think so? But dress was ugly and outdated!

And the conclusion of the day is....????I've said enough of negative things, so your comments are welcome....Let me summarize by a group photos of all the models of the 2 days event! YES, it was the same models over and over again for the 2 days event!!!Anyway let's still applaud for courage of doing the catwalk in front of millions...ooops 10 person of the day(yeah bad turn out, or was it???)...so drum rolls please......

Not a very good photo take though....it's because of my colleague's camera...either that he just doesnt have the skill...Hmmmm...If you are reading this, please dont kill me after this. HAhaha...

Vampy's Trip To Perhentian 2007!!

Oh gosh, I finally manage to get myself together and sit down to post my recent trip to Perhentian . You have no idea how hard it was to sit down in front of the computer again to do my blogging. After the trip, I was so tied with work, gym and social life and got so lazy to do any updates on my blogs! I gotta tell you that it is the hardest thing to do once you stop your engine running for while. Also, my friends who had their digital camera with them on the trip also delayed in giving me the pictures. So, again it gave me more excuses to delay doing any posting, hahah…

Anyway, let’s start of by saying that the island is extremely breathe-taking with their “yet” of unspoilt water and beaches. The sand was as smooth as a baby powder when you walk on it. Water was crystal clear. I have to admit I am an extremely fussy person when it comes to sea water. I refuse to dive in to murky water like the one found in Port Dickson or the Penang beaches and Singapore beaches (yes they do have beaches found in East Coast)! Unfortunately, the day we had to go for our snorkeling trips, I was a little disappointed as most of the corals were dead and not a variety of fishes were found. And there were even one incidence when the boatman took us to this place where you could “supposedly” see some turtles….when everyone was jumping into the sea water like dolphin to search for it….”Nadah, Zip,Nothing” . Well some of my mates reported that they saw the sightings of it but when I jump into the bandwagon with them, I could see nothing, not even a single jelly fish!

Well apart from this disappointment, there were some memorable moments of course…When nightfalls, all 15 of us (Yes, it was a BIG group…thanks to my friend Jaden who unknowingly invited all his “monkeys”…just joking bro), were drunk with Chivas and Heineken! Again, this was the work of the “monkeys” who stacked their luggage with liquor instead of clothing! So, I would presume they were wearing the same clothes for 3 days!! Oh, did I mention there were loads of hunky six-packs “Mat salleh” flooding the beach? Me and my best friend, Chai were just gorging at them, drooling and longing….hahahaha…Err my boyfriend is gonna kill me seeing me writing this entry but I’m sure he is a forgiving person (hope he reads this line….). Overall, I would rate Perhentian as a more vacation getaway with peace and quiet cos there were not much activities (i.e. disco, sports activities…..etc) compare to Redang Island which is now very commericialized. If you just want to get away from the city life and snuck into your favorite book while sun-tanning, with 90% of the island surrounded by Mat-salleh in hoping your “Mcdreamy”, Perhentian is the island to choose!

The "Gods" of gambler....They are the one that gamble day and night since our arrival to Perhentian....

We found this little "treasure" during our trip. How lucky of this little cutie to be able to follow their mom and dad to Malaysia.....

Eddie, my friend can't get enough of him...Are you hinting something to your gf already? Wink..wink....

The early birds having their morning breakfast by the sea. Ain't it breathe-taking....Wish i could wake up every morning to this. Life would be so much nicer.....

Oh....isn't it nice...such "muhibahness" between 2 cultures...HAhahaha...No offense guys but they have become such good buddies during the trip! Again due to lots and lots of alcohol......

This 3 sexy girls shown up during our last days at Perhentian...It made our guys "wimper" and drooled over them... Ohhh too bad guys!

See the "Indian" guy doing the thumbs up? He is our "Roti Canai Tosser"...with his most expensive Roti Canai and "Teh-Tarik" which cost RM 3.00/pc. Our friend, Jaden thought it was free and ordered 2 pcs that cost him RM6.00 in total...Hmmm what an expensive meal which you can get it for less than RM 1.00 in K.l!!

AND FINALLY OUR GROUP PHOTOS...Goodbye to Perhentian...(Oh and please see the guy that our Jaden friend is hugging, 5th from left to right....We asked him to sing a birthday song a kissed him. They became good friends after that. Hmmm..makes you wonder about their relation...Sparks maybe??)

Vampy's Trip To Tioman...

Yeah...have you ever had that "excitement" feeling that you are about to go on holiday and fast-forwarded yourself to that place...dreaming what you are going to do and how you are going to enjoy it? Yep, that's what I'm feeling, right at this moment. It's only like 2 days more to go before I'm off to Perhentian Island (woo hooo!) with my friends! Can't wait to go for this trip with my friends again. The last trip at the beach was 2 years ago at "Tioman Island". We had so much fun and laughter eventhough the beach sucks....It was not exactly my kind of "dreamy" beach( Caribbean Island wins hand down, no question about it). It was polluted and the water was not as crystal clear as some of our other beautiful beaches like "Redang, Rawa and Perhentian and etc.... Nevertheless, we had a blast because it was also a celebration for my good friend's birthday. So, you guess it right, she was so touched and she said it was one of her best birthday to date!(Aaaaawh so sweet of her...) HAhahahah....She never thought we would surprise her with this treat! Below are some pictures taken during our trip.....

My crazy friends trying to bury another “alive”

”Burying competition just got heated up!!! Alright man....

The girls showing off their "killer" legs while relaxing at our resort. Down boys!!

Me and my friend was having our own slumber party, jumping up and down like some pyschotic patient just got loose from "Tanjung Rambutan". I guess we had too much....It's the "overdose" of Whisky and Vodka...Tsk Tsk...

This was the "aftermath" picture after the high adrenaline rush!As for the guys who are having some dirty thoughts...this was no "lesbo" act ok. Look closely, it's just 2 girls who got too exhausted and "passed" out on the bed!

And the ENDING was..........

One happy gal cutting her cake...All eyes on her birthday treat!! Look at her smile and "peace" finger..Hahaha.... Wait.......not all eyes on our birthday gal..The guy behind was too drunk to notice anything! Shame on you.....

More of Howard Stern's.......

This is my recent howard stern's favorite prank call as well. It made me laughed so hard and really made my day especially after such a stressful day at work! Hope it made you guys laugh as hard. For those(especially Malaysians) who are not aware of who Howard Stern is, please read below for his mini biography. He is like the icon in America....

Howard Stern (born January 12, 1954) is an American radio and TV personality, media mogul, humorist, actor, and author. Stern hosts The Howard Stern Show four days a week (Monday-Thursday) on Howard 100, a Sirius Satellite Radio station.

The self-proclaimed "King of All Media" (a humorous reference to Michael Jackson's appellation "The King of Pop") has been dubbed a shock jock for his highly controversial use of scatological, sexual and racial humor. Stern has said that the show was never about shocking people, but primarily intended to offer his honest opinions on a gamut of issues (ranging from world affairs to problems among his own staff). Though controversial, he is the highest-paid radio personality in the United States and the most fined personality in radio broadcast history.

He is best known for his national radio show, which for many years was syndicated on FM radio stations (and a few AM stations) throughout the United States until his last terrestrial radioDecember 16, 2005. He began broadcasting on the subscription-based Siriussatellite radio service on January 9, 2006. broadcast on

In addition to radio, Stern moved into publishing, television, feature films, and music. He has written two books, Private Parts, which he adapted into a film, and Miss America. Stern's television endeavors include a variety show on New York City's WWOR-TV, a nightly E! show documenting his radio broadcasts, a similar CBS program that competed with Saturday Night Live for a time, "Howard On-Demand" for digital cable subscribers in various markets, and Son of the Beach, a parody of Baywatch for FX which Stern executive produced.

In 2006, Howard Stern was elected into Time Magazine's "Time 100: The People who shape our world"[1] and was ranked #7 in Forbes Magazine's 2006 annual Celebrity 100.[2] . (Not bad huh, considering he is not exactly the "good-looking type")

Howard Stern's Korean Prank Call

Hi All,

Just want to share with you guys one of my favorite DJ which was introduced to me by my bro(He is a real fanatic anyway) a year back. He is no other than Howard Stern. Some of you Malaysians might not heard of him cos we only programmed to listen to HItz, Mix and etc (MaLaysia's popular radio channel). After listening to some of his program, i find that our Malaysian DJ's standard is far behind. Just click on the link above to read more of his profile. He is really great. Anyway, below is one of my favorite video when he play a prank on a Korean lady.
